Dr. Sinha holds an MBBS from Calcutta, MRCP from the UK, and FRCP from London, along with a CCST in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the UK.
He is currently a consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Manipal Hospitals, Kolkata. Prior to his return to Kolkata, Dr. Sinha was a consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at University Hospital Birmingham after completing specialist training in the United Kingdom.
During his training at the University of Birmingham, UK, he pursued research on PCOS and gestational diabetes, resulting in multiple publications in high-impact journals and earning him the Young Investigator Award at the International Conference of Endocrinology in 2002.
Despite a busy clinical practice in Kolkata, Dr. Sinha continues to pursue academic activities, producing extensive high-impact publications in the fields of diabetes, CVOTs, treatment modalities of type 2 diabetes, and hormonal disorders. He is frequently invited to speak at various national and international conferences.
He has been honored with orations on his work on PCOS by the Indian Medical Association and the Association of Metabolic, Obesity Physicians and Clinical Endocrinologists (AMOCE). He acts as a referee for multiple international and national journals and is currently an associate editor of Cardiovascular Diabetology.
Dr. Sinha practices all aspects of endocrinology with a special interest in complicated diabetes management, GDM, PCOS, and obesity. In his spare time, Dr. Sinha takes an interest in music, cricket, movies, and books.
